Idaho Sky II, 5"x5"
For four years I lived on the border of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. There is nothing quite like the sky out there. The colors are everchanging, and the rolling hills bounce off of the sky in powerfully unique way. This region has a quiet magic, a secret beauty, and has turned into one of my most beloved homes. In these works I attend to the range of color throughout the hours of the day. Landscape and nature fuel my painting process, and these little works are about loosely capturing the essence of the land.
Materials: acrylic paint, marker, pencil on gessoboard, unframed.
